Father’s Day 2024, 2025 and 2026
Father’s Day is observed in Indonesia every 12 November. This is a fairly new observance in the country, first being officially declared and celebrated in Solo City Hall in 2006.

Father’s Day is not a public holiday in Indonesia, but it is slowly becoming more well-known as a day to remember the contribution of dads to family and society.
As this is a new celebration, there are not many popular traditions associated with Father’s Day in Indonesia. Sometimes there are special events held in different towns or cities, but most celebrations are confined to the family home where children might give a card or small gift and wish their dad a “Happy Father’s Day!”
Father’s Day was first celebrated in the United States in the early 1900s and slowly became more popular there before spreading to other countries. Today, most countries have a special day to celebrate fathers, as well as another day set apart for Mother’s Day.
